Hi & welcome,

I am a Midlander by birth but have spent most of my life serving with the RAF in various parts of the world. I was an aircraft avionics technician working both on aircraft and in maintenance workshops. For one exceptionally enjoyable period of time I taught the Acoustics Processing System (AQS901) fitted to the Nimrod Anti-Submarine aircraft whilst I was stationed in Scotland.
I currently live ........ separation pending(?)......I don't know where I live.
There is no point in being immortalized (on the web) without leaving your mark for posterity so:
Gods country. Scotland is one of the best countries in the world (but with poor leadership it could turn into an anti-English Banana republic)
The
Royal Navy. Anyone who joins the Navy is a few biscuits short of a packet
- I have never come across a bigger group of Neanderthals in my life. Their
collective 'life' consists of living in dark, archaic conditions with intermittent
periods of intense drunkenness (generally during these periods they all get
naked - and this is just the men!).
Loyalty. If you want loyalty, once you have left the Armed Services, buy a dog.
Europe. The world is fragmenting into smaller political and ethnic groups; the Balkans, the devolution of Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland, the independence of the former USSR States. Why then, is there this crazy rush for European Unity - a European Socialist Superstate run by failed politicians from the indivdual member states. Who is in charge? What is the agenda? What are the limits to European power? Are their any limits? What language will be spoken by all? Are the best individual systems from each former state going to apply across the whole community, raising everyone's living standards? Let us all have the best health care and pensions that are enjoyed by the Scandinavians, give us all the mandatory holidays that the Germans enjoy; Let's have a level playing field. Oh, I wonder... who is going to pay for all of this?
